Implementation of the
Socrates Comenius “Children of Europe” project. The visit of Italian and Turkish teachers in Poland. 25 May – 1 June 2008 At the Primary School No. 46 we hosted teachers from our partner schools in Palermo and Izmir. Our pupils, their parents and teachers prepared carefully for this visit. Children demonstrated their interests and different ways of spending their free time. There were some multimedia presentations, dance shows and origami classes, exhibitions of student projects as well as performances of the Young Actors Theatre held in our school. Our guests also participated in the School Sport Day. We took on the “Travel in the Rhythms of Europe” together, that is we watched the artistic programme carried out by the pupils of our school. Presentations of different European countries were graced by dances and songs. As for the European Café, not only was it possible to try some delicious homemade baking, but there was also the “YOU CAN COOK” book premiere held, with some Turkish, Italian and Polish recipes. Our guests met in the Town Hall with the representatives of the City Hall, they learnt the history of Bydgoszcz and they toured its Old Town. Our friends from Italy and Turkey were shown the historical monuments of Gdańsk, visited the city of Sopot and the Hel Pennisula. The Goodbye was very moving… See you all in November in Turkey…!
